Development Application Preparation

Development Application Preparation

Many forms of development, including subdivision, construction, building and earthworks, and proposals to change the use of existing buildings, require approval before it can be carried out. You apply for development consent by lodging a development application (DA) and consists of standard application forms, supporting technical reports and plans.  The process can be confusing for first time applicants.

With Straight Forward Planning, you are more likely to have a simple DA process. We will help you provide council an assessment-ready application, with all required information to promote an efficient process.

There are also some forms of development that do not require development consent, called exempt development,  and others that may be approved via a fast track approval pathway, called complying development. We can help you understand whether you require development consent and what the best pathway is for you.

We have experience preparing both small and large DAs ranging from carports and dwellings to large scale subdivisions and rezoning applications.
